We are excited to announce the launch of our new webinar series called BIODATAlks, taking the format of 30-45 minute interactive conversations, and hosted by the BioData Innovation Centre team here on Campus.

The webinars feature a variety of genomics and biodata experts- from established companies to start-ups and academic spinouts. These online sessions are designed to introduce you to thought-leaders, founders, and experts who have created successful teams and enterprises in the biodata and genomics fields. With absolutely no pre-recorded content, speakers expect to have questions thrown at them, so please have one or two comments/questions up your sleeve to make sure you get the most out of these informal discussions.

Each webinar in the series will be prompted individually with an Eventbrite sign-up page and the sessions are open to a global audience.  Webinars will also be recorded, so even if you can’t attend, if you register, we can email you a link to access the recording afterwards.

What makes them great?

• 100% live sessions designed to be interactive.

• Experts will answer all your questions.

• You have direct access to innovators, entrepreneurs, and experts.

• Get an insight into the life of a genomics/biodata company.

• Meet new people, connect with peers, and learn from the comfort of your armchair/ sofa/deck chair.

Who should attend?

Life Sciences PhD students and PostDocs currently working in or interested in topics such as genomics, sequencing, virology, healthcare research or governance, AI, bioinformatics, entrepreneurship, management, commercialisation of science, technology transfer/translation etc.

Keep an eye on our news’ feed or the Campus social media channels for details of the first in this series with Genomics England and Illumina, or email us to get yourself onto our advance registration list.
